Queen Elizabeth II is celebrating her Diamond Jubilee, an anniversary commemorating her 60 years as the Queen of the Commonwealth Realms.
For those reading who don't have a queen: This is a pretty big deal for a lot of people.
The multinational party was inaugurated with an incredible flyover which involved aircraft from the Royal Air Force, Navy, and Army. Dozens of planes flew by to commemorate the anniversary of the Queen's coronation.
It's worth noting that technically, Her Majesty the Queen is the Commander in Chief of the British armed forces.
It took 27 coordinated BAE Systems Hawk airplanes to make the picture up top happen. Eighty two total aircraft took part in the exercise.
For context, "E II R." stands for "Elizabeth II Regina," or, "Queen Elizabeth II" in latin.
