The latest in a series of Taiwanese computer generated explanations of U.S. news involves the United States Navy's latest purchases.

It's absolutely hilarious.

The videos — which in the past have deftly explained the uniquely American Tiger Woods, Charlie Sheen and Sarah Palin phenomena to a Taiwanese audience — are produced by NMA World edition, a media company that serves the Republic of China (Taiwain — not to be confused with the People's Republic of China).

Now, they take that incisive wit to the Navy.

This installment mocks the U.S. Navy for massive procurement spending, as well as the deviation from a large, equipped fleet toward the new emphasis on large, hi-tech carrier-like ships, like the new line of amphibious assault ships.

Now, check out the U.S.S. Wasp, one of those top of the line vessels. >>
